NLP training

the tools of transformation

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. It was developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970s. They developed models that help us

understand how people represent reality to themselves and further, how understanding can be used in ethical ways to conduct change work and enrich peoples' maps of the world. NLP also offers a range of techniques, which can enable great insights into the way in which we think, feel and behave. Essentially NLP is about how language affects behaviour.

What are the applications for NLP

NLP has been used in many facets of life. It has been used in coaching, therapy, training, teaching, sport, caring professions, law and even parenting. As we are all professional communicators NLP can be used in almost all walks of life.

During the NLP Practitioner Training you will discover how to use NLP in:

  • All types of communication

  • Business

  • Personal Development

  • Therapy

  • Relationships

  • Counselling

  • Sport

At JS-International our training meets the American Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (one of the world’s largest governing bodies) – so your certification will have worldwide recognition.

Our training

At JS-International we’ve worked with hundreds of organisations and professionals internationally. We provide you with the very best in NLP training. Our NLP training takes you on a life changing journey of learning, self discovery, change and personal development. To maximise your learning we create a memorable environment where you will feel confident in practicing and utilising the concepts within NLP; and we keep participant numbers low to enhance your personal experience.

We train at Practitioner and Master Practitioner level and incorporate Neuroscience, Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnosis into our NLP programmes.

Hypnosis is a natural phenomenon of the mind and body connection. Therefore hypnosis requires the active participation of both conscious and unconscious processes. The hypnotic state, also called trance, is a state similar to that experienced

just before going to sleep at night, or just before awakening in the morning. When using hypnosis, you must remain awake. You can fall asleep, but then we no longer call it hypnosis, but sleeping.

What makes hypnosis different from the normal awake state? In the hypnotic state, or trance state, the critical faculty is switched off, this means that you cannot distinguish the difference between reality and fantasy. During this time a person is highly suggestible. This is the time when positive suggestions will be accepted uncritically.

So hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation of the mind and body. Hypnosis requires rapport, trust and following positive suggestions, to create the results you want.

It would be a mistake for everyone to expect tingling in the body, a floating feeling or a sinking into a deep hypnotic trance. Each individual's experience is unique. A person can respond fully to hypnotic and post-hypnotic suggestions without experiencing any of these sensations.

Time Line Therapy™ is a fast and effective process for creating changes that relate to memories (past and future), including changing an individual's interpretation of their personal history. It is especially fast and effective in changing the chain of events that

created a specific collection or group of unwanted behaviours or internal states.

Think about a time when you were a child and you encountered a difficulty. Let us say you were hungry. If you could not make yourself understood readily and the food did not appear when you wanted it, the situation could appear to you as child (in your map of the world at that time) quite threatening. You may have had limited choices about what to do to get attention and to be understood. Many of our behaviours are developed at an early age in what is called the imprint years and then installed as habits. Unravelling this is part of what Time Line Therapy™ is all about.

Based on many of the same principles of Gestalt Therapy, Time Line Therapy™ enables someone to look back at their past from a different perspective in the full knowledge that they are now able to access more resourceful behaviours and or states, which would have resulted in a more effective outcome. With this full knowledge it is possible to re-evaluate the past and quickly and effortlessly release negative emotions, limiting beliefs, limiting decisions and any anxiety about the future. People can preserve the learning from a past event and access it when needed in the future.

Originated by Richard Bandler, Time Line Therapy™ was developed by Tad James and Wyatt Woodsmall.
